Crazy Times in Grade 3!...

We have been SOOO busy lately! We wanted to fill you in with all JUICY details!!- Nevaya

We have been doing TIA with Tibert! He is a voyageur and he taught us a lot!- Alexis

He taught us how to survive in the woods! Like how to hunt. -Cyrus

We learned lots about  music and different types of instruments. We got to make some music of our own, and we even got to beat box! We saw tools, furs, and different artifacts from years ago! We even took a journey in our imaginary canoe!

Full Speed Ahead!...

We are now into our second month of school and things are getting busy! We have been learning lots, working with our buddies, and trying new things! Here are some pictures and videos to show you what we have been up to! Pssst- get your little owl to tell you more about it and maybe even write a bit about it at home and they can share it with the class!

We learned about bus safety and what to do in the case of an emergency.

Our "Buddies" are in Grade 1. Their teacher is Mme Lines. We do lots of fun things together, like reading in French and English, Math games, and last week we even went out to collect leaves together for our Fall Art Projects!

We also made applesauce! We worked on activity sheets to measure the apples, see how much they weighed, estimated the number of seeds before we made the sauce! Some parents came in to help us which was SO helpful! WE got to peel, cut, add the apples to the pot, and make sure we measured the cinnamon, sugar, and water!
The pots were big, so they took awhile to cook! The next day we tried it as a class! take a peek at the pictures and here are some videos to show you some reactions to the applesauce:

As you can see, we've been busy!
Please leave your comments and let me know what you thought of the activities and what you liked!
Until next time, be kind :)

Owls of the Week...

What does Mme Gaunce say?...

Today we had so much fun making our song video! There is a popular song called What does the Fox say, so we decided to do our own version. It's called Qu'est ce que Mme Gaunce dit? The students  came up with the ideas for all the things they hear me saying often, and they made up the actions!  We all had a good laugh and it helped them remember some of the classroom rules! Special thanks to Mr. Sorokowski for helping us film and putting it together using iMovie!

Enjoy :)

Owls of the Week

Each week two students are chosen to be the "Owls of the Week". They help us out in our classroom and complete a list of tasks each day, along with leading an interactive morning routine! We thought it would be fun sharing their experience that week through video.

The first "Owls" were Dylan and Audrey!
