Dear Blog: We did not forget about you!

We have been so busy, doing tons of fun activities these last weeks that we forgot to blog! Here are some photos to show you all that we have been up to!

Students, please show your parents these and type in the comments what your favourite part of the last couple weeks has been! Take a look…

 We made cookies with our buddies! We were lucky to have some volunteers in to help us make sugar cookies! We rolled our dough, cut them with cookie cutters, and added lots of sprinkles! We enjoyed some hot chocolate with them after! WHen we were waiting for them to be ready we played math games and read holiday stories with our Grade 1 buddies!

We even had a Pizza Party thanks to Jovan & his wonderful family, who brought us some delicous pizza from their store! Thank you so much, what a nice lunch treat :) 

                                                    We have been busy like little elves,
                         making lots of fun Art and special projects we will share soon..Shhh!

Last but not least…our Owls of the week...

Retro Dance Fun!...

Last week we participated in the Retro Dance! We dressed up, and had lots of fun with the costumes and dances! Here are a few pictures from that day! We had some hippies, flapper girls, greasers, and 70's and 80's guys and gals!

The students did a great job of fundraising for the school, and we enjoyed the dance-a-thon!

In Owl News: Justin & Sophia...

Last week Justin and Sophia helped us out with Owl of the Week! Here is their video:

Dana & Cayden...

This week Dana and Cayden led our class for morning routine! Take a peek at their video! Hoot Hoot..

Nura & Liam's Turn….

Our Owls of the week did a great job! And we loved the dancing and music :)

Magnet Mania!!!

Nevaya- We started the week by working in a booklet about Magnets!

Kenny- We learned about static electricity and the difference between this and magnetism! We used balloons, and different objects and materials to see what attracts to the balloons!

Carson- It was fun rubbing the balloon on Mme Gaunce's head!

 Deanna- Some things stick, and some things don't! The light and thin things made of paper stuck!

Jovan- We went to our last day of swimming and it was so fun!

Justin- I learned to jump in the water! I am REALLY good at floating on my back :)

Liam- We used magnets to paint.It was really fun. We used the primary colours- red, yellow and blue! At first it looked like a big glob!

Nick- We made peace doves to represent the Peace Keepers around the world that help bring peace to us and the people of the world. 

Nick spoke at the ceremony on behalf of our class! Take a listen…

Connor- We brought our trophy in to school. We won it in double overtime. We wanted to share it with the class. 

And last but not least…we made out own magnetic mazes! Each of us chose a special theme and got creative! Hockey was a popular theme :) We are going to present them to our Grade 1 buddies!

Mme Gaunce- I am very proud of each of the projects you made and the effort you put in to your work!
